How we use cookies and similar technologies

Cookie Policy

1About this Policy

This Policy explains how TESSA uses cookies and similar technologies on www.tessadesk.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files stored on or accessed from a device when a website is visited. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and device identifiers. These technologies can support website functionality, remember choices, measure usage or enable advertising. Session cookies generally expire when the browser closes; persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted.

3Our current use

TESSA does not intentionally use analytics, advertising, personalisation or social-media tracking cookies on this website. The website is hosted by Netlify. Quote requests are received by a Netlify server function and delivered to us by email through our email provider, Spacemail. The quote form is protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. The website loads the Poppins and Inter fonts from Google’s font servers and provides an external link to WhatsApp. These services may process technical information, but such processing does not necessarily involve cookies or similar technologies stored on your device.

The table below describes the website’s known functionality. It is not a substitute for checking the live website and its current configuration for cookies and other storage technologies.

4Legal basis and consent

Under applicable EU and Latvian rules, storing information on or accessing information from a visitor’s device generally requires prior consent unless the technology is strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the visitor or another legal exemption applies. The legal basis for any related processing of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

A consent banner may not be necessary if the website uses only technologies that are exempt from consent. This depends on the website’s actual behaviour, not merely on our intention. If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies requiring consent, they will remain disabled until the visitor has given valid consent. Accepting and rejecting will be equally accessible, consent will not be bundled, and visitors will be able to withdraw or change their choice.

5Managing your choices

Browser controls vary by product and version; consult the browser publisher’s current help pages. A “Do Not Track” signal does not have a universally agreed legal or technical effect. We will honour legally recognised preference signals where required by applicable law.

6Third parties and international transfers

Netlify, Cloudflare, Spacemail, Google and WhatsApp/Meta may process data in different capacities depending on the activity, including as processors or independent controllers. Their services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Where TESSA is responsible for an international transfer, we will rely on an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and provide relevant information in our Privacy Policy. Third-party processing is also subject to the providers’ own notices and applicable agreements.

7Changes to the website or cookie list

The technologies used on a website may change when code, hosting settings, embedded content or suppliers change. We will periodically review the website and update this Policy when necessary, including before or when new technologies are introduced. The effective date above identifies the current version.
